I learned of this restaurant at an official Yelp Event called the Taco Food Fight a few months ago. In my opinion, Cantina Laredo had the best tacos served at the competition even if they did not win everyone's hearts. Today, I went to Palm Beach Gardens to get lunch here. The restaurant is very pleasantly decorated and not as kitschy as some other Mexican restaurants are with the cliche of sombreros and fake peppers hanging everywhere. The interiors were of warm tones and cohesive color palettes that are pleasing to the eye. This kind of simplicity can be a great indicator whether or not the restaurant is clean. When one is visually cluttery, it can distract you from the dirt and unswept floors. But this place looks so sleek that it is easy to see if its clean on a glance. They have happy hour on Saturdays until 5 but it has to be at the bar. So I declined to have a drink as I sat at at the comfortable booth. They brought out salsa and chips, there are two flavors of salsa- one spicy and warm, the other mild and cold. The salsa is amazing as I suspect its from roasting peppers and tomatoes to achieve the nice smoky flavoring. The menu options looked so fantastic that I needed extra time to deal with my indecisiveness as I wanted everything! Finally I decided to go with the Shrimp Relleno de Camarones which consisted of 4 grilled shrimp stuffed in a half of a roasted green bell pepper. It also had corn, mushrooms and red bell peppers inside, then it is topped with melted white cheese, red peppers, and a drizzle of some verde sauce. My date had the tres beef enchiladas that came with a side of refried beans snd rice. It did take a while for the food to arrive as the old couple that was seated after us were served before us upon their request. So, we ended up having a second serving of the complimentary chips and salsa. My meal was very pleasantly refreshing as it was also served with a side of lime-cilantro infused rice and slices of avocado. However, I ended up not caring for the shrimp as it felt slightly overcooked-rubbery. My date really enjoyed his meal and said he would order it again. We decided to finish off our lunch with a vanilla ice cream topped apple pie. It was a surprise that they brought it out the ingredients on separate plates and assembled it together onto a sizzling plate table side. The cinnamon smoke was fantastic and other patrons around the room were ooh-ahhing at the smell. It was really delicious!!! We look forward in coming back to try the other specials!

Below Average food quality. Do not order steak here! Taste is what it suffered from... Not sure if I will go here again. Mexican rice was too salty. Went there with friends! Most did not like their food!

Excellent service. I sat at a booth near the bar, and the bartender/server Carlos was absolutely awesome. Extremely personal, detailed, attentive, and speedy service. I enjoyed the queso dip, vegetarian Enchiladas, and the Mexican Apple pie with cinnamon ice cream for dessert. The food was good, the dessert was outstanding, but the service of Carlos was extremely excellent. I will go back.

Great food, very very bad service. Ordered wine when dinner came, didn't come till after dinner was finished. Waiter said it should come over soon, had to suggest to him to please get it so could drink it with the meal.

I really want to love this place. Unfortunately I was unimpressed each of the 3 times I have eaten here. All the food I have tasted has been Ok, but nothing special. I would not have a problem with mediocre food if the prices were fair, but everything is very overpriced and the portions are small. The staff are nice, and overall the service and the ambiance are good, but I cannot overlook my disappointment in the food. I will not return.

Really good authentic Spanish food, Guacamole dip and Queso dip is really good. Service is always good and friendly. The house Margarita are always great and never skimped on the alcohol. Restaurant decor is nice and also has outside seating.

Very disappointed to say that this place has closed. Very good food here, came here on a regular basis when I was in the area. However It seems that given the area is very seasonal, it wasn't able to float the slow season.

Food is overpriced and not fresh. Absolutely awful. And everything on the kids menu is spicy. Who serves a kid anything with jalapeños without even mentioning them????? It's not listed on the menu but it comes out with jalapeños. For kids. Moronic! Will never go back after 3 bad experiences in 3 years. Will never recommend. Go anywhere else.

Grabbed lunch take-out. Fast prep time - took about 10 minutes to get 2 orders of lunch tacos and chicken tortilla soup. Place looks nice on the inside with a nice big bar. Tacos were good with high quality meat. Tortilla soup and chips & salsa were equally as good. Everything was packaged well and made it home safely. Will be back.

Better than average Mexican food. Enough guacamole for four people easily. Make a reservation and you're set. The only knock I have is the service. Both times we've gotten ok service but could be better. Give it a shot!

Good deal on check in free app! and excellent food and service. I had the Carna Asada- good for a mexican style steak. My daughter had the short rib torta style mexican grilled sandwhich and it was very tasty and cooked perfect. Service was a tag team but done well- house Margerita was bery good as well!

We had a decent lunch here, the salsa was good and both of our entrees were well-made. Fairly overpriced for what it is, a problem highlighted by the fact that the waiter offered us guacamole as soon as we sat down--it's a good thing we refused, because when we looked at the menu the guac was over $10! For reference, an enchilada plate costs about that much. I'm as much of a fan of guacamole as anyone else, but I wouldn't pay that much, tableside preparation or no. I would expect a little more effort put into the dishes to make this a truly "high-end" Mexican restaurant.

Food is ok and service is hit or miss. If you sit outside- horrible service. If you sit inside, usually good service... I've done both about 10 times and seems to be a pattern. Drinks are good except that margarita house mix has ORANGE JUICE in it!!! Orange juice kills the flavor of tequila and if you're getting a top shelf tequila at a MEXICAN restaurant, you don't want OJ in your drink! Meh

I gave this place a 3-star because of the slammin' margaritas. One word...yum. I ordered the 3-course dinner for $15.99. I started off with a nice, light salad consisting of candied walnuts, blue cheese crumbles, green apple slices, and cranberries with a sweet cranberry vinaigrette. I thorougly enjoyed it as the flavors worked so well together. For an entree, I ordered chicken flautas. They were very spicy, and the waitress recommended that I mix the guacamole/sour cream with it to tone down the heat. The flautas were fried to perfection as they were very light and crispy. However, if you have a big appetite, this entree would not fill you up due to the small portion. Finally, I was looking forward to the grand finalie - warm apple crepe with vanilla ice cream. The waitress asked if I wanted a few minutes prior to dessert, and I said bring it on! It looked pretty on the plate yet it was hideous on the palatte. I opened the crepe to look inside, and it was just a mish mosh dish that they threw together to satisfy the 3-course deal. The apples looked like the dehydrated slices that you find in the grocery store. They just took these dry apple slices, sprinkled them wih cinammon and warmed them up. Then they just threw in a few dried cranberries (probably leftover from the salad I ate earlier), and put jarred caramel sauce on top. I took about 2 bites of it and pushed it away. Also, it was amazing how sweet and friendly the waitress was when I first came in until when I was wrapping up to leave. She did a total 180 and all that niceness went away just in time for the check. Finally, it's a lovely restaurant with great decor. Also, the epitome of every guy's fantasy was behind the bar - 2 tiny blondes with thick Eastern European accents. They were strategically placed to boost alcohol sales I'm sure. All in all, I would not return as I am certain you could get much more authentic, tasty, fresh food at much more reasonable prices.

Excellent salsas! Margaritas were bland. The bartender was in such a bad mood it made the experience painful. Manager had to come over and get our drinks. Decided to skip dinner there and move to another place. Would likely give this place another try, just because of the salsa! The secret is always in the sauce.

After ignoring the one in Columbus for many months before moving here, I wish I would have started coming here earlier. I often get carryout as I work close to here, and if I were to eat there, I think I would have to get one of their Margaritas too, so its better I don't. They have great lunch, and dinner. I really like the queso dip and desserts too.

First time was fantastic! Our waiter, Jacob, was most accommodating. Appetizer plate was tasty, but my shrimp enchiladas served on bed of fresh spinah were soooo good. My friend had the Mango Tres Leches and it was fantastic!

Cantina Laredo is your "high-end" Mexican restaurant chain that replaced the Don Pablos around the country after the mismanagement of that and the On The Border brand. Located in Midtown in Palm Beach Gardens, the dimply lit - late 2000's modern look in clean but lacks any real character. Upon entering you will almost always be greeted by one of the two personable hosts that are always around. Once at your table the chips arrive as fast as the server does to greet you with the drink order. The chips are fresh but I always find the salsa to be watery and without much substance. The menu is routinely TexMex. Fajitas, flautas, enchiladas ohhh my. Everything is usually prepared pretty well but again it is mostly unremarkable. They have an ample drink menu, a strong point of the menu, but the price point is always a little abrasive. Margaritas as expensive as an entrée can literally be a hard thing to swallow. Overall, I can't say I have a problem with Cantina. Just nothing you have to have.

Eh. Went here for a special occasion and it wasn't worth the price. Good was ok. Fresh guac was yummy. But what was a disappointment was the steak... Mine came out very well done and was a poor cut. Service was good and the environment was pretty.

Best Mexican food I've had and I've been all over the Southwest. Everything was delicious. The chips, salsa, guacamole even were better than I've had anywhere else. I ordered the Fajitas Tres which includes bacon wrapped shrimp, and it was amazing. The flan we split for dessert was the perfect end. I've had flan that was too bitter, but this was just right. Excellent, friendly and fast service as well. Couldn't recommend it more .

This is one of our family favorite restaurants that we frequently go to in another city. We tried this one and it was absolutely horrible! We ordered the queso laredo and it never came out..the the manager came out with our main courses and told us they ran out of cheese. She never thought to tell us this BEFORE they made our main courses,.makes no sense. Then we saw a RAT right by our table (we sat outside), it was huge and disgusting. Our food was mediocre and the brownie was cold. In their attempt to appease us, they took all the food off the bill, but all we wanted was a nice family night out and a clean restaurant and that wasn't the case. Can't go to this location again.

Fine mexican dining conveniently located less than a mile west of I-95. The food was excellent however the service was a bit slow to refill water and sauces. The slow sercive was the reason it does not get 5 stars. We started with the table made guacamole which is a must everytime we come here. I tried the new "Costilla and fajita" combo which was outstanding. A combination of steak and chicken fajita with a half rack of ribs on the side. The ribs are marinated in jose cuervo giving the meat a great taste. My wife enjoyed a chicken enchilada veracruz which was also quite tasty. We were too full for dessert but there are several options. We will certainly be back, however we hope the service gets a bit more prompt.

Used to be a great place for top notch Mexican food with a great menu, used to have a great staff! Was there tonight at 7:15 the place was absolutely dead! Now I know why. Uneducated servers had no clue what if the menu or what entree's came with what, guacamole made table side used to be made with fresh ingredients, when I asked the person making it he stated he was unsure he just started last week. High end enchiladas served with ground beef used to be shredded beef! Not any more which is what I predict for this restaurant. Not any more for me and not much longer in business. Good luck in the future who knows maybe they can turn it around and be what it used to be. Standing room only on a Saturday night waiting an hour for great service and great food! I just don't see that working out unless they change their ways and fast!

We lucked out during Spring Training finding this place on the drive from West Palm Beach to Jupiter after a wrong turn. It was good enough Mexican food that we actually went back for a second visit. I didn't realize until later this is a chain/franchise based out of Dallas with lots of locations. That being said, they are doing something right and the food and service were excellent. Once I had the ahi tuna tacos which were excellent and a lot to eat for the price. The second time, I had the Huevos Rancheros for brunch which was excellent. The chips and salsa are excellent and are the margaritas. Definitely would go back!

Food is great! Quest Laredo was loved by all. Not sure if the waiter was all there! He was friendly and attentive.... But my husband asked for "hot" salsa. The waiter brought a dish of salsa that was warmed up! Really? A hard shell taco request came on soft shells but they were still good. The enchilada de espinica was solid spinach with no mushroom to be found. Not my fav but the grilled veggies were fabulous! Oh and for the kiddos, my 8 year old said it was the best corn dog he ever had! Lol

My favorite!! I'm from Texas and this is a favorite one from back home. I live in Miami and when I found out that Palm Beach had a Cantina Laredo, I made the trek! And of course it was worth it!! This is a little bit of home in SoFla! FINALLY! Now they've opened another location at Hallandale at the The Village at Gulfstream...so a little closer :-) This is a casual place, but the restaurant is big and it's nice! Great bar scene! The margaritas - devine! My favorite dish is actually an appetizer - THE NACHOS! THE BEST, THE BEST, THE BEST!! I'm so happy they are here!!!!! This is real Tex-Mex!!!

Little more on the "gourmet" side for Mexican - not your mom n pop shop. Excellent food though, with very creative dishes and new flavors you might not expect from a typical Mexican restaurant. I highly recommend this place.

Good food, not great. They are inconsistent, and for the price it's unfortunate that you never know what you are going to get. What you can always count on is a small drink for a big price. Don't skip the dessert, best part of the meal.

In the mood for gourmet mexican food? Try Cantina Laredo! Delicious...we started with the Casa Ritas (house margaritas), for appetizer we tried the top shelf guacamole which was made fresh at the table. This is served with fresh tortilla chips and 2 salsas, one cold and the other served hot. Nice-n-spicy. Next we had Carnitas (braised pork shanks topped w/chipotle-wine sauce)...these literally fell off the bone! Flavorful with just the right kick to them. The beef fajitas came with all the fixings and were also yummy. Tampico was next, a grilled chicken breast topped w/sauteed artichoke hearts, mushrooms, spinach, red bell peppers w/sour cream-poblano sauce and monterey jack cheese. All dishes were served w/mexican rice and your choice of beans, black, refried or pinto. Wanted to try the flan but had no room for desert. Good reason to return! Our waiter was very funny, only problem was that he was a bit older and was serving several tables so he seemed to be too distracted and forgot a few things we requested. Noticed the manager had to pick up his slack. Food was top notch and we will be returning!

Came here a couple times. Writing from my experience of a couple days ago, I have to say I don't think this is "gourmet" mexican food. The restaurant itself is fine, but the quality of food is very basic and typical "chain" mexican restaurant feeling. The drinks and tableside guacamole were both goods. Of the three of us, none of us really enjoyed our entrees much. Tasted very flat and salty, and the enchiladas were a bit mealy. I think maybe the fajitas and simple things are the best here, along with drinks. Their sauces and meats were simply not flavorful and just sort of felt icky afterwards due to all the salt in the chicken. It's not a bad place..it's fine, but certainly wouldn't say gourmet. and don't think I will return.

I really love this place!!! Now that I said that you're probably wondering why I gave it only 2 stars. Well its simple, the last experience I had the service was so bad it made me almost never want to go back. On a positive note, Cantina Laredo is one of the best Mexican restaurants ever!! I, a person who could live off Mexican food every day, love this place because it's traditional Mexican food. They are expensive considering its a Mexican restaurant but I can order a regular taco instead of a Duck filled taco. So now that you know the food is GREAT, the last time Chris and I went there it was lunch time and off season so the place was pretty empty. There were only a few business people there on lunch breaks or business lunches and so on. Chris and I, I believe were in our bathing suits and cover ups because as I recall we were rained out from Fishing. Our server was a woman in her mid 40's who took one look at us and knew that we weren't the type of table she would have liked. As an ex server I am very sensitive to that treatment since I used to treat everyone like they were Donald Trump and I made the tips to show for it. Any ways, we ordered the guacamole which they make table side. The lady looked as if she was going to fall asleep in the bowl of guacamole. Then when we ordered our food I asked what kind of beans we could get and she said only refried. I then asked if there was any other kind like a drunken bean since I know I had that before and she said "Yeah but they take along time". Well Momma I didn't ask how long they take I just wanted to know what kind you had. Chris gave me a look like Let it go. So we ordered and the food came out and it was great!! We then heard a lady yell "Is everything OK?". So we looked around thinking wow maybe the person at that table was deaf and the server had to yell at them, but no. It was our wonderful server yelling to us from across the dining room as she was serving another table. We were so shocked and so was the other table. And as if that wasn't the tackiest thing she could have done, she topped it off by walking over to our table with the check in one hand and her cell phone finishing up a text in the other. I wish I could remember her name but I definitely know what she looks like so the next time I feel like letting them redeem themselves, if I see an older woman server, I'll have them switch my table.

Decent gourmet mexican but I wouldn't say it's the best in the area or better then Rosa Mexicano. Rosa Mexicano is a different style. The Cantina is gourmet mexican however it incorporates tex mex, whereas Rosa does not. Cantina is decent depending on want you order. The drinks are great including the margaritas. The guacamole is excellent and everything is else is gourmet tex mex with an expensive price tag. Every time I have gone the service has been very slow, the last time I went it took over 10 minutes just to clear the table before desert and took another 15 minutes just to get the bill. Because of all that I probably won't return.

Best Mexican restaurant in the area (vastly superior to Rosa Mexicano). Have been there a ton and never had a bad meal.

This is not a gourmet restaurant and not really typical Mexican food. We have been looking for good Mexican food in the area. I ordered the Enchalada "Mole"..chicken with sauce on top. When it arrived, from the appearance I told the waiter it was not what i ordered. He assured me it was and walked away. I called him back and told him I wanted to read the description. It read that it was covered with sauce. Mine had some dark DRY stuff on top... definitely not sauce. The waiter would not take no for an answer. I tasted it after he left and it was horrible. I did not say another word. My husband did not say anything BUT he could not eat his taco's as they were so dry. Our grand daughter had inquired about the mai mai taco (sp) and the waiter up sold her to the mai mai entree $25.00 which she liked. Even tho my husband and I hardly touched our dinner the waiter tried to persuade us to have dessert. Tried this place twice. Never again.

Delicious options for happy hour. The bartender "Los" was the real deal and mixes a mean 'Cabo Flip' try it! Interior doesn't feel like a Mexican restaurant, but the complimentary chips and salsa say otherwise. Enjoy a pomegranate Margarita along with some fish tacos and flatbreads. Delicious.

Ok I LOVE this place. I have taken clients here, attended business meetings here and have introduced friends and family to Cantina Laredo. This is definitely one of my favorite places in palm beach county to eat. I am generally eating here about 4 times per month and have yet to get a meal I didn't like. The tableside guacamole is amazing and the service and atmosphere are top notch.

Decent food but horrible service. We were a group of 14 and they assigned us one server. Half of us got our food about 30-minutes after we ordered and the other half received it about an hour after the order. Three of us got the wrong dish. Complained to the manager and noticed no improvement.

Pretty average Mexican. This would be 3 stars typically or even four stars if it was a cheap divey find. But God knows not for $18 average fajitas or $10 meh queso app. You are paying for inflated palm beach gardens lease rates here and for mood lighting that increases the night-out appeal.

Ambiance is cosy but with some music pumping to liven it up... Full bar.. Tasty chips and salsa right away... I had the everything platter... Chicken enchilada was tasty as was the steak relino, which was good for dipping.... There was a stuffed ground beef, with Raisans and almonds in what appeared to be a grape leaf and corn tortilla.. Very intersting combo... I'll be back!

The food here is very authentic Mexican. Their happy hour at the bar is great. The hot brownie dessert is unbelievable. The Sunday brunch is something everyone should try. Includes a bloody "Maria" or mimosa. I really like the chorizo con huevos.

Cantina Laredo offers a basic Southwestern food menu. In my opinion the food is a blend of Mexican and Tex-Mex. If you have traveled throughout the southwestern parts of the United States, you will understand the difference. One of my favorite design features is their semicircle bar. It brings conversation together, and I wish that more bars would do this. You can eat at the bar or one of the surrounding high-tops too if you do not want to sit in the dining room area. There is also an outdoor seating area when weather permits. The emphasis at the bar is on tequila-based drinks. I personally do not care for straight tequila, but if you like it, there are many "top shelf" varieties to select from. The bartenders are very knowledgeable about each one, and can recommend one to suit your taste. The food menu offers basic appetizers and entree selections. Chips & salsa come out right away, and are very good. I happen to like their chicken and ground beef tacos. They are overpriced, but I'm sure that their rent is not cheap either. I cannot rant about how good the food is, because you can get better at a lot of places in Texas, Arizona, California, or New Mexico. BUT, the food is always fresh and good. Guacamole is made using ripe fruit and is excellent! The manager usually comes around to check on things, and I like that. It tells me, that repeat customer business is important to them. Service is usually very good too. There is one waitress that cannot ever seem to smile, and that is the only criticism that I have. Cantina Laredo has outside dining on days/evenings in which the weather cooperates, which is nice and even more relaxing. Otherwise, you can come out smelling like food with all the sizzling fajita platters coming out of the kitchen. All in all, I like the Cantina very much. The food is good, drinks are made well, and the atmosphere is much better than most.

Like most of the reviewers said - this is not your usual Mexican restaurant. The food is different from what most people expect Mexican fare to be. Personally I was not a fan of the dish I got because of the above. I expected one thing and got something else. I thought I knew what chimichangas were like and what they were filled with, but was out of the norm for me here. I'm sure if one had a broader palate and is the type to eat anything, they would probably enjoy the food. Aside from that, we all ordered the table side guacamole which was delicious and sooo fresh! We also ordered the queso for an appetizer that was amazing as well. The specialty drink menu is fun, varied and quite good! I ordered a Mango Mojito which I loved. It's a tad pricier than expected, but I still had a nice time. Service was quick and friendly. I think if I were to come back it would only be for appetizers and drinks. Bottom line: It's a decent place to go if you want to try something new.

Yep. Friday night. Kitchen at home is "No Man's Land". No one wants to cook ......... big surprise. So, into the now infamous "Enjoy the City" coupon book again in search of a deal. We find the free entree offered at Cantina Laredo, and pile into the family truckster for the short ride up PGA. No waiting once we got inside, and we were seated almost immediately. They were quite busy from our vantage point, and I could only see one or two empty tables in the whole place. Our waitress was fast, as were the food runners who delivered our orders. Enchiladas, burritos and tacos were the fare of the day, and everything was fresh and light -- quite a bit different than you might expect to get a more "Mom & Pop" kind of Mexican place, which are usually fried and heavy. While we were dining, the table next to us erupted in a loud chorus of "Happy Birthday", surrounded by every waiter and waitress in the place, and one of them began preparing something tableside that sizzled almost as loud as the singers. Then the smell started to fill the room, and even though everyone else downwind was already eating something else, I could hear the chatter start to build amongst everyone, including our table, on wanting to know what that delicious smell was. Our waitress came around after her choir duty to check on our progress, and I asked about the dish. It was, according to her, "the best thing we make on the menu -- hot apple crepe with vanilla ice cream". Soon, there was sizzling dessert preparation going on at what seemed like every table around us, and then eventually, ours, too. The cinnamon apples on the fajita plate was what was throwing off the great scent, and when the hot crepe was drenched with the cold vanilla ice cream, almost instantly liquifying it all and absorbing the run off, everyone at our table was licking their lips as we pushed our forks down into it. The first bite was like eating Christmas, I can't even explain it with words. We were all moaning as we chewed, with our eyes closed no less, even over-chewing each bite to make it last longer. We were all thoroughly satisfied, and rolled out to the car rubbing our bellies.

2 1/2 stars For some reason the food here tastes very salty and preservative rich. Maybe because its a chain and they get everything prepackaged? They have the right idea with the menu they just have to lay off the salt a bit. Service and margaritas are great though.

This is definitely a nice Mexican restaurant and a breath of fresh air from your standard, hole-in-the-wall Mex places. The enchiladas were wonderful. They were served with fresh cabbage and cheese and other veggies - a nice change from the standard melted cheese. It also came with a side of rice and zucchini. The margaritas were really good and starting at 9pm, they're half off! Service was good, and the atmosphere was nice!

Really cool place. The real highlight was the service. Keydi was awesome-one of the best waitresses ever. The food was good and the prices are very reasonable. The apple pie with cinnamon ice cream was a hit. Worth checking out.

Chips & salsa w/ queso (free since I checked in via yelp). Carnitas taco. Mahi. Chicken tacos w/avocado. I think it's billed as an upscale Mexican restaurant, but it didn't feel stuffy at all. Fresh food, prepared well and server in good portions. A good place if you want sit down as opposed to hole in the wall.

I really like this place! The service is always five star. The waiters are always very attentive, quick and polite. We don't have to wait long for our food and that's my husbands favorite part. Nice atmosphere, kid friendly as well. The guacamole, even though generally good, it's always different depending on who prepares it. Not authentic Mexican food really but some comes close (the Tacos). Oh, great margarita selection as well!

Excellent chips and salsa. The enchiladas are phenomenal. Not your run of the mill Mexican either. Service was great.

Anything is better than hotel food is my motto when I have to travel for work. Though it has been day 2 of an extended work trip, hotel grub is not sounding appetizing anymore. Our journey to Laredo was fine, but I thought the food was just blah. That or I ate too much salsa and chips (excellent by the way!) that I wasn't feeling my nachos, an appetizer choice, for dinner. They were not what I was expecting: chip pieces with melted cheese and pieces of chicken on top. Hmmm... Interesting nachos presentation. I added a bit of salsa for taste. The frozen mango margarita I had helped as well. Doesn't a margarita help with everything?! Not exactly fine dining, but it's definitely a nice alternative to hotel grub that's close by.

Soooo good. The margaritas were delicious and the food was awesome. Loved the hot grilled pepper served with the dish and the chips and salsa were very tasty. Wish we had one in Miami, I would frequent it!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
